BIPOC Experiences
Being BIPOC means you have wrestled with duality your whole life. It means coming from a collectivistic culture trying to survive in the western tradition of rugged individualism. It means clashing value systems, different definitions of health, and navigating different cultural norms and mores. Add on top of that historical and generational trauma, and it's a lot to bear. My therapy is informed by collectivistic cultural values and experiences, and I offer a therapy space where it feels safe for us to exist, to be witnessed, and to rest.
“Rarely, if ever, are any of us healed in isolation. Healing is an act of communion.” - bell hooks
